The Malvern School will be using Clay across all 27 preschools in New Jersey and Pennslyvania
Clay is expanding to New Jersey and Pennsylvania with its partnership with prestigious preschool The Malvern School. Clay will be supporting all of their locations starting in November.
Clay, a virtual behavioral health solution designed specifically to support young children, today announced its statewide partnership with The Malvern School, a best-in-class operator of early childhood education schools. Clay is the first virtual behavioral health platform integrating with early education centers and comes at a critical time as the mental/emotional health crisis threatening young children has worsened post-COVID.
This partnership acknowledges the important role and responsibility early childhood education schools have in turning the tides on the mental health crisis.
The Malvern School was founded in 1998 with a philosophy to deliver a high quality educational program for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 8 years. Much different than a daycare, our college educated teachers focus on your child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive growth. Our curriculum is designed to meet or exceed the standards established by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation’s largest early childhood accrediting organization. The Malvern School has locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and our schools are open year round with full and half day enrollment options.
“ At The Malvern School, we are committed to developing the whole child during their crucial early childhood years– from infancy to pre-kindergarten and beyond. Our Program focuses on the physical, cognitive and emotional growth of the child and that is why partnering with CLAY is perfect for our school communities. We are excited to offer our parents resources outside of the classroom that will be customized to their child’s own developmental needs and provide all caregivers with the tools to navigate the early childhood years”

Founder & CEO, The Malvern School
This November, Clay will serve as the behavioral health partner to The Malvern School’s community (students, parents, teachers), with comprehensive behavioral health services including developmental and behavioral screening for early identification, personalized strategies, and behavioral support to drive better outcomes both at home and in the classroom, and proactive training for teachers around behavioral health.
“ It’s a privilege for Clay to have the opportunity to support such a prestigious early education institution such as The Malvern School.”
– Lee Rotenberg
CEO and cofounder of Clay
Founded by repeat technology entrepreneurs Lee Rotenberg, Alex Schinasi and Omri Mendellevich, Clay is joined by a team of best-in-class clinicians with decades of experience at leading institutions such as Boston Children’s Hospital, NYU Langone and the Family Institute at Northwestern. They are backed by healthcare thought leaders like Jonathan Bush of Athenahealth & Zus, Mark Frank of Sondermind and Scott Flanders of eHealth.
Clay’s product allows for schools and their families to access a behavioral care team on demand when behavioral concerns arise. Their proprietary technology automatically assigns age-appropriate developmental & behavioral screeners, scores results and creates meaningful behavioral health assessments with care navigation on what to do next and evidence-based strategies to address the concern. The platform also powers teacher groups and parent groups moderated by behavioral coaches for immediate support.
The Clay app allows educators and families to keep a pulse of children’s behavioral and developmental challenges and to enable points of intervention when needed.
